Our Horses
Our aim is to match each of our guests with a horse that will suit their ability and taste. All our horses are sure-footed, forward-going and very fit. We have 26 Andalucian horses as well as Anglo-Arabs and Hispanos, many of which we bred ourselves. The herd is comprised of geldings, mares and four stallions. They are calm, with kind temperaments and good manners, but are still very forward-going, even in the climate found in Southern Spain; |

they are able to carry a rider at a brisk pace all day. This type of horse is typical of the area and is renowned for its fine build and incredible stamina, and is much favoured by farmers for driving cattle and can even be seen in the bull-ring. Our horses live in a very natural environment like a wild herd, free to roam in 20 hectares of meadow with shade and shelter from the weather provided by the many olive trees.
Here is a brief introduction to some of them:
Rubia: (Photo) elegant and extremely forward-going,
11 years old, we bought her together with Ceniza as a foal. |
